Helen "Tootsie" Rubinetti (Pierre), 92, passed away peacefully on April 27, 2024. Born and raised in the Ironbound section of Newark, Helen resided in Union for the last 62 years.

Beloved wife of the late Frank A. Rubinetti, 

Loving mother of Paul A. and his wife Josephine.

Sister of four late brothers and five late sisters.

Grandmother of 4. Aunt of many nieces and nephews.

Helen was an executive secretary with Public Service in Newark NJ for 15 years before retiring. After her retirement, she joined with her husband's restaurant, The Star Tavern in Orange NJ. in 1969 as Co Owner and Book Keeper as well, eventually retiring in 1980. Helen and Frank owned stakes-winning harness race horses and were members of the US Trotting Associations in Chicago and Columbus, Ohio, and also members of Standardbred Breeders and Owners Association of New Jersey.  
Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend the visitation on Wednesday, from 2 PM - 6 PM at the Galante Funeral Home in Union, 2800 Morris Ave. in Union NJ.
A funeral mass will be celebrated on Thursday at St. Michael's Church in Union at 10:15 AM.
Interment to follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery in East Hanover.
The family prefers memorials to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
