Gaspare Vasile

Gaspare Vasile, 74 of Union passed away at home on July 23, 2025.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a visitation for Gaspare at the Galante Funeral Home, 2800 Morris Ave. Union on Friday July 25 from 9 to 11 AM. A Funeral Service will be held in the funeral home at 11 AM, and Entombment will follow at Hollywood Memorial Park.

Born in Bivona, Sicily, Italy, Gaspare immigrated with his family to the United States in April of 1964. The family settled in Newark, and he later lived in Irvington before moving to Union in 1994. Gaspare was a dedicated custodian for the Irvington Board of Education, retiring several years ago after 27 years of service. An avid movie and history buff, Gaspare has seen and enjoyed just about any film you could think of. He also liked to stay up to date on all the latest tech and electronics. Above all, Gaspare will be remembered for the kindness he showed to all that he met. He will be sorely missed.

The son of the late Salvatore and Vincenza (Perrone) Vasile, Gaspare was the cherished brother of Carmelo Vasile, and the late Joseph Vasile, Vincenzo Vasile and Serafina Maltese. He is survived by many loving nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews, and was also predeceased by his nephews Salvatore and John.
