Fritz Robert Delone

Fritz Robert Delone, born on March 7, 1953, in Haiti, passed away on May 31, 2025. A devoted father, grandfather, and husband, Fritz embodied love and compassion throughout his life. In 2002, he relocated to Brooklyn, New York, and recently moved to Irvington, New Jersey, where he spent his final month.

Fritz was a cherished figure among his family and friends. He is survived by his wife, Marthe; his loving daughter, Elizabeth; and his son, Emmanuel. He also leaves behind his stepchildren Colin, Merlindia, and Felix, as well as his God-daughters, Claudette and Cassandra. Fritz's legacy continues through his grandchildren: Nathan, Nael, and Khai, who will always remember his warmth and dedication. His siblings include brothers Jean Joseph, Daniel, Renel, and Taylor, along with sisters Zita, Nadine, Nilva, and Limose, all of whom will carry forward his spirit.

Fritz was preceded in death by his grandchild, Jeremiah, whose memory remains in the hearts of those who loved him.

A man deeply connected to his heritage, Fritz loved visiting Haiti to see family and friends. His compassion extended beyond his own circle, as he dedicated time to help the less fortunate and worked tirelessly with those in need. He also was an terrific cook.

Fritz's life will be honored with a visitation on June 13, 2025, from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Galante Funeral Home, 2800 Morris Ave. Union, New Jersey. A Mass celebrating his life will be held the following day, June 14, at 10:00 AM at St. Leo's Church in Irvington, New Jersey. Those attending the mass are asked to meet directly at church. Burial will follow at Rosehill Cemetery in Linden.
