Evelyn R. Reiser

Born in Glen Ridge, NJ to Theodore Ellis and Rose (Matyas), Evelyn was a graduate of Grover Cleveland High School, Caldwell, where she enjoyed her time as a majorette for the Caldwell Chiefs. She earned a master's degree from the University of Massachusetts at Boston. Evelyn was a lifelong Caldwell resident except for living in Waltham, MA for 14 years.

Evelyn worked as a technical writer, editor and proofreader for AT&T for many years until her retirement in 2001. 

Evelyn enjoyed reading, especially Shakespeare, and following politics, which she minored in college. She was a member of the Brookdale Baptist Church, Bloomfield and the First Presbyterian Church in Caldwell. 

Evelyn was the loving mother of Frank Reiser, Caldwell. She was sister of Theodore A. Ellis (Dianna) of Whiting and Kenneth Ellis (Mary), of Schaumburg, Ill.  She is also survived by her nieces and nephews, Leslie Ellis- Chilenski, Hardyston, Richard Ellis, Wellington, FL, Kerry Jones, Haysville, Kansas, Emily Hensley, Fallon, NV, Frank Gerris, East Windsor, the late Michael Gerris, Charles Gerris, Freehold and several great-nieces and nephews whom she adored.
