Elvira Taboada

Elvira Taboada passed away on May 31^st, 2024 in Newark, NJ.

She was born on September 5^th, 1920 in Piñeiro-Pontevedra, Spain.

She arrived in the USA in 1969 and settled in the Ironbound section of Newark, NJ.

Elvira enjoyed her years as a loving wife and mother. She loved her family as well as supporting her late husband by assisting him in his business. 

Elvira is predeceased by her late husband, Jose E. Taboada, her first son Jose (Pepiño), her brother German Gamallo, her sister Aracelia Gamallo, and her son-in-law Jose Nogueiras. 

She is survived by her son Jorge and his wife Betty, her daughter Neir Nogueiras, Herminia T. Ulker and her husband Dr. Erol Ulker.

Elvira is also survived by her 8 grandchildren Sandra Caruso, George Nogueiras, Ashley, Kaitlin, Lisa, Ariel, Valeria and Carolina. 

A visitation will be held on Monday, June 3^rd from 4:00pm to 8:00pm at Galante Funeral Home at 2800 Morris Avenue in Union.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday morning 8:30 AM.

Funeral mass at St. James Church in Springfield at 10 AM
