Dorothy (Pacifico) Wright, 79 of Staten Island, NY passed away peacefully on August 5, 2024, surrounded by her loving family.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Funeral Mass for Dorothy at Holy Child Church, 4747 Amboy Rd. Staten Island on Saturday August 10 at 10am. Interment will follow at Resurrection Cemetery. Arrangements are in the care of the Galante Funeral Home in Union.

Born in Mondragone, Italy, Dorothy immigrated with her family to Brooklyn when she was 11 years old. She has lived in Staten Island for the past 50 years. Dorothy worked for Verizon earlier in her career until 1994, and later worked as an underwriting assistant for AIG Insurance Company until her retirement in 2012. She was a devoted member of the Holy Child Rosary Group, and a member of the YMCA Silver Sneakers. Dorothy was also an avid fan of the NJ Devils. Above all, she loved to travel, and cherished the memories of trips taken with her family to Italy, and to the Holy Land to walk in Jesus' footsteps.

Dorothy was the beloved wife of the late Walter Carl Wright; loving mother of Marylynn Pascotto and her husband Joseph, William Wright and his wife Elizabeth and Robert Wright and his wife Tabatha; and dear grandmother of Joseph, Michael, Madison, Samantha, Lucas, Eleanor and Caroline. She is also survived by her siblings Immacolata, Elvira, Arduino, Fernando and Mario, and by many loving nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to Holy Child Church, earmarked for preschool classroom supplies:
