Dorothy T. Errazuriz

d. June 22, 2025

South Orange

Dorothy T. Errazuriz, left this world on June 22, 2025, at the age of 65. Born on June 11, 1960, in Jersey City and raised in the Greenville section, Dorothy's journey through life was marked by her unwavering dedication to lifting others.

Her academic pursuits took her from St. Dominic Academy to Jersey City State College, where she equipped herself with the knowledge and conviction that would later guide her into rewarding work as a counselor at the Jespy House in South Orange. There, she poured her heart and soul into helping and advocating for for individuals with disabilities.

Dorothy was celebrated not only for her professional accomplishments but also for the warmth she exuded and the kindness she effortlessly shared with those who crossed her path. Very friendly and approachable, she made connections with everyone. Passionate about music and dancing, she embraced each moment with joy, reveling in life’s simple pleasures, often surrounded by the love of her family.

As a devoted wife and mother, Dorothy cherished time spent with her husband, Victor Errazuriz, and their children—Victor Errazuriz, Nicholes Errazuriz and his wife Marianella, Sebastian Errazuriz, Veronica Errazuriz and Aaron Errazuriz; and her grandson Jacob. Her maternal instincts were boundless, and the joy of being a mother was not just a role to her, but an identity that enriched her life. Her love echoed through every family gathering, where laughter and stories intermingled with the music that filled her home.

Dorothy's family extends beyond her immediate circle; she was supported by a loving brother, Robert Brown and his wife Georgie, and several caring sisters—Karen Herson and her husband Mark, Mary Brown Zeitz and her husband the late Howie, Donna Brown, Janice McHugh and her husband Guy, Margaret Kelly and her husband Kevin, Kathy Trifon and her husband the late Jimmy, and Carolyn Galvin and her husband Sinon. The familial bonds intertwined with countless nieces, nephews, and cousins created an extended family that shared in her laughter, her passions, and the memories that painted the canvas of her life.

While Dorothy's departure leaves a profound void, her spirit continues to resonate among the many lives she touched. Her visitation will take place on June 28, 2025, from 12:00 PM to 4:00 PM, culminating in a funeral service at 3:30 PM at Galante Funeral Home, 2800 Morris Ave. Union.

In honoring Dorothy, we celebrate not just the life she lived, but the love she radiated—the enduring impact of a woman who devoted herself to advocating for others while nurturing her family's bonds.
