Donnell Antwann Prime
Donnell Antwann Prime was born on September 20, 1976 in Orange, New Jersey to Dianne and the late Freddie Prime, Jr. Donnell parted his earthly life unexpectedly on November 25, 2020.
Donnell attended and graduated from Union High School and Essex County Technical Careers. He worked for the City of Elizabeth, New Jersey for several years and was a long time member of Shiloh Baptist Church in Newark, NJ.
Donnell had the ability to smile in times of adversity. While he was a humble young man, he never missed an opportunity to help someone in need. Donnell loved family and always looked forward to celebrating holidays. He particularly enjoyed celebrating his birthday and let you know three months in advance the gifts he wanted to receive! He was a big fan of the Chicago Bulls and the Dallas Cowboys.
Donnell was competitive and mastered games on his Xbox, often challenging his brother Fredrick and anyone else who came to his home to a quick game to show off his “skills.” He was especially known for his mastery of Connect Four; no one ever beat him! He enjoyed the simple things in life—a hearty meal, a good movie, music from the 90s and cruising in his car. Donnell was a loving, easygoing man of few words. He lived his life to his full potential and was resolute in doing things his way.
Donnell leaves to cherish his memory his parents Dianne and Anthony Atwell; siblings Fredrick Prime (Kimberly), Iyanna Atwell-Liles (Howard), Niyah Atwell and Regina Wallace; nieces Jasmine Prime, Kaleah Liles and Zoya Liles; nephews Julius Prime and Isaiah Wallace; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
There will be a Zoom Live Stream of the Services on Monday from 10AM - 12 noon.
