Born in Newark, Donald lived there prior to moving to Edison in 1966. In 2002, he and his wife relocated to Toms River. After her passing in 2016, Donald settled in Clark. Donald was a longshoreman with ILA Local 1235 for many years until his retirement in 2001.
Donald liked staying active, and enjoyed playing bocce with his team in Toms River. A baseball player his entire life, he played for the ITO Old Timers out of Port Newark. He served as the President of the Pacific Loafers, and was a member of the Ironbound Executives. Donald cherished time spent smoking a fine cigar, and sipping a glass of scotch. Above all, he treasured time spent with his family.
Donald was the beloved husband of the late Josephine (nee Policastro) Collucci. He was the loving father of Donna Goncalves and Donald Collucci, Jr.; proud grandfather of Christina Manata (Victor), Danielle Goncalves, Ernesto Collucci (Heather), Vanessa Collucci-Beck (Kevin) and Dominique Collucci; and adoring great-grandfather of Lucas, Ava, Jacob and Amelia. He is also survived by his siblings Margaret Mondi, Marie Alaimo and Vincent Colucci (Donna), and by many loving nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his siblings Rocco Collucci, Nicholas Collucci, Anthony Collucci, Angela Colucci, Christine Paolella, Victor Collucci, Carmine Collucci and Patsy Collucci.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations in his memory be made to the RWJ Rahway Development Office.
