Domingos Pires

Domingos M. Pires, 78, of Elizabeth, died on Tuesday, May 22, 2012. The funeral is at Galante Funeral Home, 2800 Morris Ave., Union. NJ on Thursday at 8 AM.


Funeral Mass at St. Genevieve Church, Elizabeth at 9:30 AM.


Entombment in St Gertrude Cemetery Mausoleum, Colonia.


Visitation is Wednesday from 4 – 8 pm.


Born in Portugal, Domingos lived in Irvington, prior to moving to Elizabeth 23 years ago. Mr. Pires worked as a carpenter during his lifetime.


He was the husband of the late Ester V. Pires, father of Jack D. Pires and Teresa V. Pires-Ramos, and also the grandfather of Alex, Danny, and Tommy Pires, & David and Evan Ramos.
