Domenico Nuzzo

Domenico Nuzzo, age 86, passed away on December 27, 2025, surrounded by his loving family.

Born in Italy, Domenico’s journey led him to the United States, where he briefly lived in New Brunswick, NJ, and then the Ironbound section of Newark before making his home in Union, NJ for many years.

Domenico's professional career was marked by dedicated service at Western Electric in Kearny, followed by some time at AT&T, which later became Lucent Technologies in Allentown, PA. He retired in 2003 after many years of hard work and commitment.

Throughout his life, Domenico was deeply cherished by his family. He is survived by his beloved wife, Filomena, with whom he shared 58 years of marriage. His legacy continues through his sons, Paul Nuzzo and his wife Michelle, Joseph Nuzzo, and Dominick Nuzzo and his wife Sigrid. He was also a proud grandfather to his grandchildren, Giovanni and Luca.

In addition to his immediate family, Domenico is survived by his brother, Louis Nuzzo, along with his sisters, Madeline Liberatore and Connie Capra.

Domenico found great joy in spending time with his grandchildren, often driving them to school and participating in their lives. His devotion to family was evident in everything he did and is a testament to the love he shared and received.

His passing leaves a profound void in the lives of those who knew him, but his spirit will undoubtedly continue to inspire all whose lives he touched.

Visitation for Domenico will be held on January 4, 2026, from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM at Galante Funeral Home, located at 2800 Morris Avenue in Union.

A funeral mass will be celebrated on Monday, January 5th, at St. Michael Church located at 1212 Kelly Street in Union at a time to be determined. Burial will follow at St. Joseph's Cemetery located at 360 Broadway in Keyport.
