Dolores Marie Payesko

Dolores Marie Payesko, 82 passed away peacefully on March 30, 2026 at Reformed Church Home in Old Bridge New Jersey. Born in Uniontown, Pennsylvania, Dolores raised her children in Irvington, New Jersey for many years.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a visitation for Dolores at the Galante Funeral Home, 2800 Morris Ave. Union on Monday April 6 from 4-8 PM. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Michael's Church in Union on Tuesday at 10:15 AM. Entombment will follow at Hollywood Memorial Park.

Dolores was active in Irvington Baseball Little League with her sons, worked at Irvington General Hospital and as a dedicated Irvington municipal court clerk until her retirement in 1998. Dolores loved to dance to any music, especially the twist with Chubby Checker as a young woman in Hopwood, Pennsylvania.

Dolores is survived by her loving sons, Joseph A. Payesko III and his wife Kathy, and Michael Payesko and his wife Celeste. She also leaves behind her brothers Samuel Pulice, Frank Pulice, and Deano Pulice, as well as her sister Arlene Kurta. Dolores’s legacy continues through her grandchildren Jenna, Nicholas, Esa, Sarah, and Michael, who carry her memory forward in their hearts.

She was preceded in death by her beloved father, Samuel Pulice; her mother, Beatrice (Owens) Pulice; and her sister Carol Daniels. Her Heart was never quite the same after losing her cherished daughter Nicole Marie Payesko, and she now finds peace in being reunited with her in Heaven.
