Denise Dorcent

Denise Dorcent, aged 69, was sent home  peacefully on March 28, 2018 at her home in Union, NJ,

after a brief struggle with cancer.

Denise was born October 18, 1948 in Desdunes, Haiti,

the daughter of Saint Martin St. Phard and Marguerite Barthelmy.

Denise thoroughly enjoyed participating in church activities and spending time with her family.

In 1967, Denise married her soulmate, and the love of her life Francois Dorcent.

A short time after marrying in Haiti, they moved to the United States,

where they established a business in real estate in New Jersey.

Denise finally retired as a supervisor from Uni Clean clean room services located in Maplewood, NJ.

After retirement Denise focused on her family and close friends.

Denise had an unwavering faith in God. She was a member of the Temple of Unified Christians

where she enjoyed praising the Lord.

Over the years she became very involved with the church, and assisted with numerous church events.

Denise is survived by her older sister, Chalinette Deriphonse

and her husband Francois Dorcent; daughters, Carrole Dorcent, Margilene Dorcent, and Franceline Dorcent;

and a number of other relatives and close friends.

A devoted wife, mother, and friend Denise will be greatly missed.

The visitation is from 10:00 AM until 11:00 AM

on Thursday April 5, 2018

at the Temple of Unified Christians located at

7 Prospect Street, East Orange, NJ.

The funeral service will follow at 11:00 AM,

also at the the Temple of Unified Christians.

Entombment will follow in Hollywood Memorial Park 1500 Stuyvesant Avenue Union, N.J. 07083

The family wishes to extend their gratitude to Center for Hope Hospice & Palliative Care

for their support in her final days.

In lieu of flowers The family prefers that memorial contributions be made in her name to the Gerald J. Glasser Brain Tumor Center ( www.overlookfoundation.org ).
