Deborah Delceg

Deborah A. Russo-Delceg, 70 of Roseland passed away on August 1, 2022.

A memorial service will be celebrated for Debbie at Grace Episcopal Church, 200 Highfield Lane Nutley on Sunday August 21 at 1 PM.

Born in Newark, Debbie was a longtime Belleville resident until moving to Roseland four years ago. She worked for the Belleville Board of Education, working her way all the way up to a position as their purchasing agent, retiring in 2005.

Debbie loved to travel, and was an avid fan of the New York Yankees. She enjoyed shopping, and was a great cook. Debbie liked riding her bike, and has read all of the classic literature. She especially treasured time spent watching her dear grandson play sports.

Debbie was quite a miracle. A gracious heart transplant recipient, Debbie received her ultimate gift the moment she truly needed it, 17 years ago. Her tenacity, strength, courage and bravery epitomized her beauty. Debbie was eternally grateful to God, and to her donor.

Debbie was the beloved wife of Stephen F. Delceg; loving mother of Valerie Burgos and her husband Pedro; and proud grandmother of Aidan. Debbie is also the dear sister of Rosalinda, Tobia, Elsie and Robin, and is also survived by many loving nieces, nephews and cousins.
