Constantina Manas

Constantina Manas, a devoted mother and grandmother, has passed away on November 4, 2025. Born in Spain, Constantina embarked on a new chapter when she moved to New York at the age of 17. In 1992, she found her beloved home in the Ironbound section of Newark, where she lived a life deeply rooted in family, love, and unwavering support.

For many years, Constantina worked side by side with her son, Antonio, as a tax preparation specialist. Not only was this role a source of pride, but it also allowed her to connect with her customers in a way that brought her immense joy.

Constantina’s heart always found its truest expression in her cherished family. She was a devoted caregiver, pouring her love into the lives of her grandchildren, Emma, Isaac, and Josiah. Her gentle guidance and nurturing spirit were constants in their lives, creating memories they will carry forever. From her joy in shopping in Newark to her countless acts of kindness, she crafted a legacy of care that echoes through the hearts of her loved ones.

She is predeceased by her husband, Juan Manas, whose memory remains a guiding star in the family's life, and her parents, Dario Paz and Constantina Rosales, who imparted their values of love and resilience to their daughter. The strength of her lineage is evident in the family she leaves behind Antonio, her son, who has embraced her lessons in both life and work; Jessica, her daughter-in-law, who brought warmth into the Manas family; and her beloved grandchildren, who will forever carry her spirit forward.

As we gather to honor Constantina’s life, a Visitation will be held at Galante Funeral Home in Union, NJ, on Thursday, November 13, 2025, from 4:00 PM to 6:30 PM. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. James Church Springfield on Friday, November 14, 2025, at 10:00 AM. Those attending mass are asked to meet directly at church on Friday morning. Entombment will follow at Hollywood Memorial Park.
