Claudia Elishama Vilsaint

Claudia was born on September 1, 2007, at Aux Cayes General Hospital in Haiti, to her devoted parents, Eli Vilsaint and Marie Claudette Vilsaint Nesrestant.

On Friday January 9, 2026 at age 18, Claudia was called home to be with the Lord. A beautiful child of God, Claudia was known for her radiant smile, joyful spirit, and the light she brought into every room she entered.

Claudia was caring and compassionate, always willing to help others in need, sometimes even at her own expense. Her generous heart and desire to stand up for others were true reflections of her character.

Claudia graduated from Irvington High School in June 2025. During her high school years she proudly participated in the school band where she played the saxophone, and she had a deep love for singing. She was also a member of the JROTC program, demonstrating discipline, leadership and dedication.

Claudia attended The House of Mercy Mission and was part of Tilly’s Kids in Newark, New Jersey since the age of six where she participated in many camps and outings learning of God’s love for her and giving her heart to the Lord to be her Savior.

Before her passing, Claudia worked at LA Fitness in Union New Jersey as a caregiver at the daycare, where she lovingly cared for and nurtured young children.

Full of life, warmth and kindness, Claudia touched the hearts of many during her time with us. Though her life was brief, her impact was profound, and her memory will live on through the love she shared and the joy she gave so freely.

She will be deeply missed and forever cherished by her family, friends and all who have had the blessing of knowing her.

Friends and family are invited to pay their respects to Claudia's life during a visitation on Saturday January 24, 2026, from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Galante Funeral Home 2800 Morris Ave. Union, New Jersey. A prayer service honoring her life will be held at 11:00 AM followed by entombment at Hollywood Memorial Park in Union.
