Claudia C. Rodrigues, 53, of Union, New Jersey, passed away peacefully on November 20, 2025.Born on June 22, 1972, in Casais Galegos, Portugal, Claudia built a beautiful life filled with love, dedication, and deep connection to her family, friends, and community.
Claudia was the devoted wife of Rui Rodrigues, with whom she shared a lifetime of love, laughter, and cherished Sunday afternoons cheering for the New York Giants. She is survived by her loving parents, Teodoro and Jesuina Caetano; her niece Carla Rodrigues; her niece Ana Caetano; her nephew Fabio Caetano; her sister-in-law Alice Rodrigues; and her brother-in-law Carlos Rodrigues. She adored her family deeply and held a special place in her heart for her beloved dogs — Leão, Buddy, and her faithful companion, Whiskey.
For 25 years, Claudia dedicated herself to Walgreens Pharmacy, where she served as a store manager. She was not only respected for her leadership and work ethic, but also treasured as a mentor, a guiding presence, and a true friend to countless colleagues. Her kindness, warmth, and steady ability to lift others up made her a beloved figure both inside and outside the workplace.
Claudia had a special love for sunsets at the beach, where she found peace and joy in nature’s beauty. She was the heart of every gathering — the one who organized celebrations, reunions, and trips, bringing people together with her vibrant spirit and genuine care. Her friends knew her as a kind soul, someone who listened deeply, loved fully, and created meaningful memories wherever she went.
Friends and family are invited to attend a visitation for Claudia which will be held on Monday, November 24th, from 4:00PM to 8:00PM at Galante Funeral Home located at 2800 Morris Avenue in Union. A funeral mass will begin at 10:00AM on Tuesday, November 25th, at Our Lady of Fatima Church, located at 403 Spring St in Elizabeth. Entombment will follow in Mount Olivet Cemetery at 220 Mt Olivet Ave in Newark.
Claudia’s bright presence will be profoundly missed by all who knew her. She leaves behind a legacy of compassion, generosity, and love — one that will continue to inspire those fortunate enough to have shared life’s journey with her.
