Claude A. Diletto, 72 of Caldwell passed away on January 21, 2022.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a visitation for Claude at the Galante Funeral Home, 54 Roseland Ave. Caldwell on Tuesday from 3-7 PM. Cremation will be held privately. Guests are asked to please wear a mask.
Born in Glen Ridge, Claude lived in Fairfield until moving to Caldwell many years ago. He was a veteran of the US Army, serving from 1969 - 1971. Claude was a proud car dealer; after getting his start in the car business with his father in Bloomfield, he always maintained his own car lot. He was the owner and founder of 103 Auto Sales in Caldwell, eventually moving back to his dealership in Bloomfield, currently located on Orange Street.
The son of the late Mark and Lucy (nee Tafaro) Diletto, he was the former husband and good friend of Gloria Meliti. Claude was the loving father of Jennifer Diletto and her fiance Gene Wronko and Michael Diletto and his wife Breanne; and proud grandfather of Gianna, Alana, Julian and Stella. He was the cherished brother of Ginger Barnes, Rosemary Diletto, Stephanie Kovach, Joseph Diletto, and the late Mark Diletto, Raymond Diletto and Linda Diletto.
