Carmen Rodriguez

Carmen Rodriguez passed away peacefully on April 9th, 2023, at age 94.  Born and raised in Ourense, Spain, she later immigrated and settled in the  Ironbound section in Newark in 1953.  She was a seamstress in a clothing factory in Newark before her retirement in 1994, when she moved to Florida.  Recently she came into her son's care at his home in East Hanover, where she passed away surrounded by her son, daughter-in-law, and grandchildren.  Carmen is survived by her son Manuel "Manny" Rodriguez and his wife, Dayana, daughter Josefina "Josie" Delvalle, and her husband, Carlos.  Her grandchildren Santino, LanaBella, Jason, Stephanie, and great-grandchild Addison.  She is predeceased by her husband late, Jose "Pepe" Rodriguez.
Funeral is from the Galante Funeral Home, 2800 Morris Ave, Union, on Monday at 8 AM.  Followed by a Funeral Mass at St. Rose of Lima Church in East Hanover at 10 AM.  
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a visitation for Carmen on Sunday, April 16th, from 1-5 PM at the funeral home.
