Benito Vazquez   93, of Clark passed away on Monday August 20, 2018

at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital @ Rahway.

The visitation will be on Sunday August 26, 2018

at the Galante Funeral Home 2800 Morris Avenue in Union, NJ from 2 - 6 pm.

A funeral service will be conducted at 5:30 pm in the funeral home.

Burial will be held in Spain.

Born in Orense, Spain he came to the Ironbound Section of Newark in 1966,

moving to Clark, NJ 17 years ago.

He was a longshoreman and a member of

The International Longshoremen's Association Local #1235 in Newark

for 20 years, retiring 30 years ago.

Benito was married to his late wife Gloria (nee Salgado) for 55 years,

until she passed away in 2001.

He is the father of Emilia Perez and her husband Antonio,

and Benito Vazquez Jr. and his wife Elvira.

He is also survived by 5 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren.
