Barbara Lee Gordon

Barbara Lee Gordon (Bobbi), age 89, passed away on November 24, 2021 at her home in Essex Fells, NJ.

Family and friends are invited to attend a visitation for Bobbi at the Caldwell United Methodist Church, 8 Academy Road Caldwell on Tuesday November 30 from 10 - 11 AM. A Funeral service will be celebrated at the church at 11 AM, and burial will follow at Prospect Hill Cemetery. Arrangements are in the care of the Galante Funeral Home in Caldwell.

Barbara was born on December 28, 1931 in Glen Ridge, NJ to Mildred and Milton Ernst. She graduated from Grover Cleveland High School followed by business school. She had a successful career as a secretary for several local businesses.

Barbara is survived by her husband of 44 years, Jerry Gordon, her children Nanci Whitman (Mark), Bonnie Kuczborski (Greg), Michael Kuczborski (Alyse), stepdaughter Jan Gordon (Don), niece Cinder, grandchildren Courtney, Dylan, Niki, Justin, step grandchildren Donald, Molly, Evan and four great grandchildren.

She was predeceased by her parents Mildred and Milton, and her beloved brother Eddie.

Barbara was a long serving volunteer to many charities. Her service to the NJ League for the Hard of Hearing was especially significant. Her favorite places were the beaches of Long Beach Island, NJ and Stuart, FL where finding sea glass would make her day. She was a long time active member and volunteer at Caldwell United Methodist Church. Barbara’s dedication to the 5 o’clock gimlet was renowned among family and friends.

Both her joy for life and easygoing manner will be remembered by all that knew her.
