In Loving Memory of Antonio “Papa” Cernadas

Beloved father, grandfather, brother and friend. Antonio passed away peacefully, and we take comfort in knowing he is now reunited in heaven with his loving wife, Ileana "Guela".

Antonio was a devoted father to his daughter Sandra and his son Antonio Jr., and a proud father-in-law to Mariana. He was the cherished grandfather of Lauren Patrice, David Antonio, Julio Enrique, and Isabella Raquel, who brought immense joy to his life and who will forever carry his spirit forward.

A barber by trade, Antonio spent many years behind the chair not just cutting hair, but building lifelong friendships, sharing stories, and making everyone who sat in his chair feel like family. He was known for his stubborn streak, but those who knew him best understood that beneath that toughness was a heart of pure gold.

Antonio was the kind of man who showed love through his actions—his loyalty, his humor, and his fierce dedication to his family. He leaves behind countless memories that will be treasured forever.

Though he is no longer with us, the love he gave and the lessons he taught will live on in all who knew him.

Rest in peace, Papa. You will be deeply missed and forever loved. 

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a visitation for Antonio at the Galante Funeral Home, 2800 Morris Ave. Union on Thursday June 19 from 2-4 PM and 7-9 PM. The funeral service will be celebrated at Galante Funeral Home on Friday June 20th at 10 AM. Entombment will follow at Hollywood Memorial Park.
