Antonina Badalamenti

Antonina Badalamenti (nee Carollo), 81 of Springfield passed away on July 27, 2026.

Funeral is from the Galante Funeral Home, 2800 Morris Ave. Union on Friday July 31 at 9am. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Michael's Church in Union at 10:15am. Entombment will follow at Hollywood Memorial Park. Visitation will be held on Thursday from 4-8pm at the funeral home.

Born in Torretta, Sicily, Italy, Nina moved to Milan for new opportunities at 17 years of age. Shortly thereafter, she immigrated to the United States to live with her brother Sal and to start a new life. After marrying, she and her family opened Glendale Pizzeria in Union, a longstanding family business built on the love, trust and importance of family that Nina always held near to her heart. When she wasn't at the pizzeria, Nina looked forward to hosting Sunday dinners for her family, and especially enjoyed watching her grandchildren grow. A woman of deep faith, she enjoyed attending mass as often as she could.

Nina was the beloved wife of the late Gino Badalamenti; loving mother of Giuseppe Badalamenti and his wife Kristen, Calogero Badalamenti and his wife Georgene and Maria Slugocke and her husband Michael. She was the adoring Nonna to Sofia, Charley, Jake, Lucas, Nina, Gino, Giuseppe and Matteo. She was also the dear sister of Sr. Fina Carollo, Sal Carollo and his wife Sara, Maria Mannino and her husband, the late Francesco, John Carollo and his wife Rosemarie and Charlie Carollo and his wife Franca.
