Anthony Martin, 94, of Union, passed away on Nov. 26, 2018.

A memorial visitation will be held at the Galante Funeral Home 2800 Morris Ave Union on Friday from 9:30 - 11:30AM, followed by a funeral Mass at St. Joseph Church in Maplewood at 12 noon.

Husband of Elvira (nee Adamo).

Father of Steven, wife Frances, James, wife Eileen and Francine and her late husband Robert Brittman.

Brother of the late William, Edward and Ruth Hedenburg.

Grandfather of Steven, Richard Christopher, Jason and Kimberly.

Great Grandfather of 8.

Anthony was born in Harrison NJ and lived most of his life in Union.

Anthony worked for Figure Builder in Union as a Foreman for 22 years, then for Excel Sheep & Leather in Linden as a Foreman for 7 years before his retirement.

Anthony was a sharpshooter with the Marines during WWII. He is the recipient of two purple hearts while he served in the Pacific theater as a Marine Corporal.
