Angiolina Cirasella

Angiolina Cirasella (nee Megliola), 89 of Newark passed away on June 12, 2025.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a visitation for Angiolina at the Galante Funeral Home, 2800 Morris Ave. Union on Wednesday June 18 from 4-8 PM. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Lucy's Church in Newark on Thursday at 10AM. Entombment will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery.

Born in Lacedonia, Italy, Angiolina settled in Newark in 1973. She worked for Liberty Optical for many years prior to her retirement in 1990. She was a talented cook and baker, and enjoyed crocheting. Above all, Angiolina cherished time spent with her family, especially her grandkids. 

The beloved wife of the late Donato Cirasella, Angiolina was the loving mother of Joseph Cirasella and his wife Lynn, Maria Nicoletta Cirasella and her fiance Andrew Flax, Michael Cirasella, Diana Cirasella, Maurizio Cirasella and Antonietta Carlucci and her husband Alfonse. She was the dear grandmother of Annamaria Cirasella and her fiance Justin, Michael Cirasella, Alexa Cirasella, Nicholas Fiornascente, Tyler Fiornascente, Gabriella Cirasella and her husband Matt, Melissa Cirasella, Albert Cosgrove, Nicolas Carlucci, Alfonse John Carlucci, and the late Brandon Fiornascente. She was also the adoring great-grandmother of Brandon, Eloise and Genevieve, and dear sister of Maria, Giuseppina, and the late Donato, Cristina and Lucia.
