Andrew Barone

It is with profound sadness that we share the passing of Andrew Barone, 56, of Springfield NJ, on July 5, 2025. 

Andrew was the devoted husband of Christy Kuldanek for 32 years and the loving father of Robert Francis, 24; Emma Louise, 22; and Hannah Katherine, 20. Andrew leaves behind his mother, Patricia Barone and siblings Frank Barone and Sandra Youngman. He will also be remembered fondly by his in-laws, Kelly and Roger Kleiber and their children, Jacob, Jess, and Jenna; Robert and Ailish Kuldanek and their children Caitlyn and Ryan. His dearest friends and family who will mourn his passing are The Grabowy Family, Bonnie Gentesse, Rob and Amy Riley, Mary Sneyers, Steve Dublanica and Charles Prothero. Affectionately known as Andy, he was born in Newark in 1968, graduated Seton Hall Preparatory High School and went on to earn his bachelor's degree at Caldwell College (now university). He became a math teacher, later earning his masters degree from Kane University and becoming a school counselor. He recently retired from Edison High School after serving for 33 years. He recently started to work for Once Upon a Child after a year of traveling. Andy had a passion for travel, food, and music. Nothing made him happier than going to see his children in college, singing along to his favorite songs, and stopping to find new amazing places to eat. He was also an avid reader and theater-goer. He loved sharing his passions with his family and friends. He will be deeply missed and remembered with much joy.

 In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to Trinity Episcopal Women’s Scholarship Fund. 

Services will be held at the Galante Funeral Home 2800 Morris Ave. in Union, New Jersey on Sunday from 1 pm to 5 pm and Monday from 9 am to 12 pm with an included service.

 Following the Monday service, we will gather at Trinity Episcopal Church in Cranford for burial of ashes in the memorial garden. Afterwards we will have our repass at Stage House Tavern (1099 US-22, Mountainside, NJ 07092).
