Alonso Losada, 88, of Union, passed away on March 15, 2021.
  
  Funeral services are private, in the care of the Galante Funeral Home in Union. A memorial service will be celebrated at a later date.
  
  
  Alonso lived in Elizabeth for 25 years before moving to Union. He was  born in Guantanamo, Cuba and became a surgeon.  In 1975 he moved to the United States with his wife and children where he worked as a machine operator until his retirement in 1997.  Alonso was an avid reader, loved train sets, building model airplanes, and was a skilled carpenter. Most of all, he loved his family.  Alonso is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Tatiana Losada; his sons Alonso J. Losada and his wife Susana; Jorge L. Losada and his wife Maria, and his daughter Maria C. Losada; his granddaughters  Stephanie and  Elizabeth Losada,  Natalie and Nicole Losada, grandsons Jeremy and Nicolas Camacho and his loving older sister Rafaela Alba.
