Alfred William Patetta

Alfred William Patetta, 50 of Kenilworth passed away peacefully on Sunday, June 18, 2023.
Friends and family are invited to attend a visitation for Alfred on Friday June 23 from 3 to 7 pm at Galante Funeral Home, 2800 Morris Avenue, Union. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Theresa's Church in Kenilworth at 10:30 am on Saturday, June 24. Burial will follow at Graceland Memorial Park in Kenilworth.

Born in Livingston to the late Joseph and Linda (Casiero) Patetta, Al was raised Kenilworth. Then in 1995, Al moved to Dallas, Texas, where he worked as an equity trader until 2001 for Coastal Securities. From 1996 - 2001, he was also a stock trader on Wall Street before retiring back to Kenilworth.

Throughout Al's life, he was an active parishioner of St. Theresa's Church. He was a devout catholic and taught CCD there for many years. Al was a proud graduate of Dartmouth College and a brother of Sigma Alpha Epsilon Fraternity. He was able to give back to his alma mater later in life by volunteering to interview prospective Dartmouth students. He was fluent in Italian and enjoyed his time studying abroad in Italy. Al also loved spending time exercising and keeping fit.

Alfred is the loving father of Francesca Marie Patetta, and the dear brother of Melissa Patetta. He is also cherished by many loving aunts, uncles, cousins, friends and fraternity brothers. He was predeceased by his faithful dogs, Kirby and Rex.

In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to the National MS Society, which Al supported through walks, fundraisers and awareness for many years along with his team, Al's Argonauts.
