Alberta Tavaska

Alberta R. Tavaska (nee Bauer), 81 of Springfield passed away on December 4, 2020.

Funeral services are private, in the care of the Galante Funeral Home in Union. A memorial mass will be celebrated at St. James Church in Springfield at a later date.

Born in Newark, Alberta lived in Springfield since 1966. She worked as a clerk for Allstate Insurance Company for many years. Alberta enjoyed nights spent out dancing with her husband; and treasured frequent family trips to Wildwood.

Alberta was the beloved wife of 56 years to the late Edward J. Tavaska; loving mother of Janice Dobler and her husband Robert, Sr. and Sandra Hameroff and her husband Richard; cherished grandmother of Robert Dobler, Jr., Noah Hameroff and Hunter Hameroff; and dear sister of Eugene Bauer.
