Ada DeFlorio

Ada DeFlorio (nee Cioni), 96 of Caldwell passed away at home on July 31, 2021.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a visitation for Ada at the Galante Funeral Home, 54 Roseland Ave. Caldwell on Wednesday from 9:30 - 11:30 AM. A Funeral Mass will then be celebrated at St. Aloysius Church, 219 Bloomfield Ave. Caldwell at 12 noon. Cremation will be held privately.

Born in Newark, Ada was raised there before living in Colonia, then Belleville for 25 years until moving to Caldwell 21 years ago. A talented baker, she enjoyed preparing delicious meals for those she loved.

Ada was the beloved wife of the late Robert DeFlorio; loving mother of Vincent DeFlorio and his wife Donna and Victor DeFlorio and his wife Denise, dear grandmother of Annalisa DeFlorio and Mandee Brady and her husband Ryan, and adoring great-grandmother of Ryan, Jr. She was predeceased by her siblings Victor, Frank and Cecilia.

As cats held a special place in Ada's heart, donations in her memory may be made to the Mount Pleasant Animal Shelter, or to the West Essex First Aid Squad, in appreciation of their gracious assistance.
