Gregory Bowman

Gregory John Bowman, 66 of Roseland passed away at Mountainside Hospital on March 15, 2015.

Graveside service will be held on Thursday at 11 am at Brigadier General William C. Doyle Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Wrightstown . Visitation is on Wednesday from 2 to 8 pm at the Galante Funeral Home, 54 Roseland Ave. Caldwell.

Born in New York City, Gregory lived in Virginia before returning to New York to attend Hunter College. He served in the Army during the Vietnam War, then went back to New York until 1990 when he married and moved to East Orange and finally Roseland in 2005. He always enjoyed a day on the golf course and shooting pool.

He was the son of the late Reddick and Virginia (nee Daniels) Bowman. Gregory was married to his beloved wife Norma (nee Pagan) for 25 years. He was the loving father of Mathew Miranda; grandfather of Damian M. and Maya Nicole Miranda and Alyssa Miranda-Grieco; and brother of Reddick, Walter and the late Sharyn Bowman. He was the brother-in-law of Carmen Vogl, as well as many other brothers and sisters-in-law; and is survived by his nieces and nephews Carla and Remington Randolph, Rachel, Linnet and Reddick Bowman, and Alyssa and Billy Vogl, as well as many other nieces and nephews.
