Ana Santiago Harper, 45 of Springfield passed away on July 11, 2019.
Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend a visitation for Ana at the Galante Funeral Home, 2800 Morris Ave. Union on Sunday July 14, 2019 from 2-6 PM. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. James Church in Springfield on Monday at 12 noon. Cremation will be held privately.
Born in Newark, Ana was raised there, and lived with her family in Springfield since 2007. Ana graduated from Caldwell College in 2010, earning her B.A. She worked as a paralegal with the Law Office of Scott Tanne in Chatham.
Ana was deeply devoted to her children, and fiercely loved her family. She was a longtime volunteer at St. James School, and at Jonathan Dayton High School. During her courageous battle with cancer, Ana was heavily involved with the Susan G. Komen for the Cure, North Jersey in Summit and Parsippany.
Ana kept her faith in God through every adversity. Her fighting spirit, amazing smile and determined, loving ways will be forever missed.
The daughter of the late Ismael Santiago and Gabriela Bedoya Santiago; Ana was the beloved wife of eight years to David Harper. She was the wonderful, loving mother of Hanah, Courtney and Chase. Ana also leaves to cherish her memory her sisters Maria Augustina Santiago and Elizabeth Santiago, her brother Jose Lisandro Santiago, and by her mother-in-law and father-in-law Sandra and Warren Harper.
