Wan Fai really lives up to her name, and is now 'flying towards the clouds' to heaven. She was the most generous, kindest and gentlest soul I know. Every time she came to Toronto, she always had something to give to us. I've known her since high school, she had a tough life as a youngster, but she accepted it with a smile. I'll never forget her as she wrote in our year book at Form 5 three simple words 'Forget Me Not'. Chris and the family, you have our deepest condolence, we're sure you will all pick up the pieces and move on--keeping Frances' gentle tradition alive. Please keep in touch! Clare and Chung Bau

We all lose a great friend. Wan Fai is kind, generous, witty and always has a smile. For two years, she fought the battle with western medicine, eastern medicine, meditation, exercise and determination. As she got weaker and weaker, we all hope for a "miracle". We will remember Wan Fai, the person and the good times we had together. May she rest in peace.
Please accept our deepest sympathy.

Dear Chris:

We learned of Frances' passing from a mutual friend. We were saddened that we didn't have a chance to see her one more time. She was such a good friend to all who got to know her. She was one of my best students at SUNYAB and was President of the Chinese Student Association during the years she attended. Her years working at the UN took her to many parts of the world, including Beijing, China. We join all those who mourn this lost but are consoled that her suffering has ended. Memories of her life and friendship will long linger with us. Our deepest condolences go to her beloved family.

Frances and I were high school classmates and we have kept in touch all these years. She was the most generous, considerable and sensible friend I had had the honour of knowing. We had shared a lot of happy memories growing up as teenagers, as young office secretaries before we decided to pursue higher education at universities, and as wives and mothers trying to cope with the ever increasing desire for perfection. Through it all, I had always marveled at Frances' inner strength and mental toughness, which had enabled her to live a life well lived and well remembered. Frances, rest in peace and I know you are in a better place now, free from pain and worries.
