Dear Lucille's Family,

My dad Billy Palermo was Lucille's first cousin. My grandfather William Palermo was Aunt Josephine's brother. When we lived in N.J. through the years we would see Aunt Lucille at various family functions. For the past 18 years we have lived in Roswell, Ga. Fortunately I visited with her this past year with my cousin June Palermo Fostik. Aunt Lucille was a very loving and classy lady. She was helpful to me during my college years when she helped me to be a substitute teacher in the Union Schools.
God Bless to all of you who have lost a beautiful woman. We know she is with our Heavenly father and all her Italian family including my Dad.
May there be comfort in knowing family is here for you and that we share in your sorrow.

Deepest Sympathy,
Bob and Cheri Palermo Gonor

My name is Dawne (Hummel) Lepore. Lucille was my 7th grade teacher at Franklin School.
I also taught in Union and would see Lucy at townwide meetings. We kept in touch through the years via notes, cards, and also phone calls. Lucy was always very helpful in knowing how to reach our "lost" classmates for our many reunions. She was one of my 2 favorite teachers in Franklin, but she was the only one I kept in touch with. To me Lucy was a very special lady. I could always count on her telling it like it was - though she did so with the utmost respect for the person we spoke of at the time. For a number of years now I have driven to Union to have a short visit with her from time to time. During the last two years or so I would call her caregiver - Alberto - to check on her between visits.
I am going to miss her wit, compassion, and caring nature. May God bless you, Lucille,
as you now will spend your time with our Lord in Heaven.

Thank you Lucille for being such a good friend for all the years since 1956.

To Lucille's Family:

I am sorry to hear of Lucille's passing. She was one of the smartest people I knew and remember so many family get togethers with her. My dad, Richard Carbone and Lucille were first cousins. My grandmother, Florence Palermo Carbone, was sister to Aunt Josie (Lucille's mom). Wishing her peace and comfort and I'm sure the family is welcoming her with open arms. Peace to all of you.
