We understand that the time you are going through is very difficult. The Galante Family works as a team, with each member having their own special talents and abilities, all coming together as one. This helps to make your experience as pleasant as possible. We do our very best to accommodate any request, so that you can begin to concentrate on overcoming your grief with your family, not worry about the details.

   

Frank Galante (NJ Lic. #3110)

Frank earned a Bachelor of Science Degree from the University of Minnesota in 1973 with a major in Mortuary Science. During a lifetime of dedication, his achievements were recognized by his peers in 1999 when he was elected to the presidency of the New Jersey State Funeral Director’s Association.  He still currently serves the Association on various committees. Frank has a love for classic cars and along with Steven and Frank Jr. restored our antique 1940 Packard Hearse which is available for use to families who request it.

Victor J. Galante (NJ Lic. #3318)

Growing up in the funeral home, Victor has been serving families since his early youth. A graduate of Farleigh Dickinson University, and a 1977 graduate of McAllister School of Embalming in New York City, he is a true funeral service professional. After serving in various offices of the Essex, Union and West Hudson Funeral Directors Association he was elected their president in 2007.

Steven Galante (NJ Lic. #3409)

Steven is a graduate of Monmouth University and a 1978 graduate of McAllister School of Embalming in New York City. He served as a member of the Service Corporation of the New Jersey State Funeral Directors Association. A member of the Caldwell community since the 1980s, his expertise in funeral directing and likeable personality put him in high favor of families throughout the area.

Richard J. Galante (NJ Lic. #3112)

Richard earned a Bachelor of Science Degree from the University of Minnesota in 1973 with a major in Mortuary Science. He served in various offices of the Essex, Union and West Hudson Funeral Directors Association before becoming its President in 1997. He was a former member, appointed by the governor, to the State Board of Mortuary Science of New Jersey in 2002 until 2012. serving as the board's Secretary and then it's President for the last 3 years of his term. Very active in the community of Union, Richard was also elected as a member of the  Twp. of Union Board of Education in 2010, currently serving as the Board's Vice President, and also is active in the Union Chapter of UNICO, The Columbia Italian American Club of Union, and the Regular Democratic Club of Union. Also he currently serves as chairman of the Twp. of Union  Zoning Board of Adjustment.

Frank R. Galante Jr. (NJ Lic. #4891)

Frank attended the Mercer County College Mortuary Science Program and was licensed in 2010. His attention to detail and professional attitude set him apart from many other young funeral directors.  He is constantly looking for ways to further improve the Galantes’ excellent reputation of service to the community.

Brenda L. Galante (NJ Lic. #4122)

After serving five years in the United States Air Force during Desert Storm she went on to graduate from the Mercer County College Mortuary Science Program in 1994. Along with her natural compassionate care for our families, Brenda has an extraordinary talent and skill for hairdressing, cosmetology and restorative techniques, which far exceed many expectations.

Victor Galante II (NJ Lic. #4838)

A graduate of Seton Hall University, Victor received his calling in 2009, after which he became a licensed funeral director. Along with Frank Jr., he began the 4th generation of Galantes fully dedicated to serving with the utmost compassion and care.

Frank R. Galante (1923 - 2016)

Frank was licensed in 1947 after serving in the Marines during World War II. He served in various positions in the Essex, Union and West Hudson Funeral Directors Association during the 1950s and 1960s, and as District Governor of the National Funeral Directors Association before being elected as its national President in 1973.  A licensed funeral director for over 60 years he earned countless awards of recognition for outstanding achievements. Still active today, Frank is one of the profession’s finest examples of a lifetime of service to his family, country and to his community.


   

Carlos Silva (Funeral Assistant)

Fluent in Portuguese and Spanish, Carlos’s knowledge and service has been proven to be a true asset to the families we serve.
